Hacked - This scene occurs completly after Laborious Work in a fashion that is not confused with Farewell or Dream.

It starts with a distant voice "KEN, wake up. Wake up, KEN". As KEN starts to gain conscience the voice becomes clear, stronger, nearer. "You can open you eyes KEN".

Almost in fear KEN opens is eyes and doesn't understand. Is lying down in a kind of table and around him everything are fractals moving, changing form, revolving. "Where am I?", he manages to ask.

"We and you are inside your head, this decoration is just a way to entertain you and give you a sense of spatial dimensionality, we hope you enjoy it", the voice said.

"No, that is not possible. The spaceship is programmed to wake me up if it finds inteligent life or traces of it", KEN replied.

"Yes, it is. But using an expression from your era and place, we hacked you and the spaceship so, nothing is happening", the voice replied, "You are in suspended animation inside your spaceship traveling at the normal speed".

"Who are you?", KEN asked.
"We are too much than you're capable to understand. But to keep things simple, you can consider us as the makers of the universe, so you are very welcome, we dont use to have guests"

"I've found you?", KEN asked in disbelieve. "Of course not. You can't find what is not to be found... yet", the voice said.

"Yet?...", KEN asked.

"Yes, of course. We all are one. You are a part of us and we are you too", the voice answered. "How can we be part of each other, are you God and me part of your realm? Something like that?", asked KEN.

"Of course not. But you do understand that some things can't be explained to who is unable to understand? Imagine: your body are full of cells, they all have your DNA, so your cells are you and you are your cells, but can you explain who you are to your cells? Or can or cells develop consciousness of you?"

KEN thought a little about that and asked, "So we are part of the same universe?".
"Once again, that is not right but not totally wrong. Can you imagine that everything in within everything? Imagine the whole universe is nothing more than an atom of another universe? Or that we are just the nucleous of a cell, establishing the rules to a correct development, a healthy state and room for some evolution?", the voice said.

"Is that it?", KEN asked. The voice answered "That would be too easy, right? Imagine that we teach human race since the begining of the universe. Why are you based on carbon? Why do you have the divine proportions? Why all organized religions appeared more or less at the same time and place, with a body of knowledge that happen to be the first sets of behaviour rules in mankind? Why the Fibonnaci sequence? Why cousin numbers? Why an infinite pi? Why chaos theory? Slowly, we've been giving human race ways to get to basic rules of creation and operation of life, universe, everything and, at same time, we've been showing that there are included randomness in everything - so yes, the whole universe has free will along some limits, so to innovate and evolve in a conceivable and sustainable way."

"Do you think you could absorve infinite knowledge and live?", the voice asked.
"Probably not", KEN said. "And you are right. Not even we have achieved yet the full knowledge", the voice said. "So you are not the end?", KEN asked in disbelieve. "Of course not but even if we explained to you, you wouldn't be able to understand", the voice answered.

"So and me with my mission? You've hacked us. What are your plans? Why am I here?", KEN asked.

"You are here because you are a kind of hero. You've gave up everything in your live for this mission. Human race will not know yet but you've reached the end of the universe, which is as true as saying that you've reached the center of the universe. As we've hacked you, we really liked you, such an adventure, so much sacrifice. But now you have a problem. Many thousands of years have pasted. The solar systems no longer exists. Your ship is programmed to take you back home and the pods will send you to your new home - yes, that part of the mission was a sucess. Yet, Human race also changed and evolved so, when you get back home, your interest will be like having a Neanderthal man to study. Like you can't be us, you'll be very unhappy back to a home which will never be your home and a race that is no longer your race.", the voice said.

"So I have a problem with no solution. Are you telling me all this to kill me after?", KEN asked.

"We have a solution for you: compensation. You will remain with us as a guest. Maybe with time, lots, you can learn a little, but at least you will feel better and compensated for what you've lost to arrive here", the voice said.
